CATHED1NE FLYING EXPRESS foaled in 1986, and was first purchased by
Miss Melita Watkins of the Craig y Parc stud where he stayed for the first 13 years of his life. Then in the
1999 Builth October sales I purchased him. Since then EXPRESS has been a major prize winner for us, including
premiums at Lampeter stallion show, as well as other major championships and bronze medals. He oozes quality
that he passes onto all his foals. Many cob enthusiasts will remember his dam CATHEDINE WELSH MAID who was
female champion at the R.W.A.S. in 1970 and 1974. Still to this day, no other mare has come close to equalling
her record of consistently producing fourteen full brothers and sisters to one stallion. All of her progeny has
gone on to win numerous shows, and I’m sure that EXPRESS’S stock will go on to win many more. He is the sire of
CEULAN COPPER BRAKEN who has been many times champion in the Toronto fair in Canada. Mr Wynne Davies of the
CEULAN Stud often borrowed EXPRESS to put over his mountain pony mares. |
